This performance was created as part of The Other Side performance art platform’s Sidewalk 2nd Edition project workshops. The piece blends fictionalised elements of Nordic pagan mythology, explores the nature of ritual as an intrinsic human behaviour, and our deep emotional connection to the forest. As part of the process, I spent days making edible fake blood, adjusting the recipe until I got the colour and consistency right for sticking to my skin – work you can’t explicitly see on the screen, but which carries the whole performance nonetheless.
